I was born with a hatred for violence. My mom says she and my dad watched Desert Storm footage while she labored with me in the hospital.

On Sunday, January 20, 1991, I came into the world screaming, and I haven’t stopped for air since.

When I turned two, Bill Clinton was promoted from Governor to President. On my tenth birthday, George W. Bush was sworn in. …

I think it is safe to say we are all more than ready to say goodbye to 2020. But now is the time to really reflect on your year and start to develop a plan for 2021 and beyond. How do you want to work on yourself? What sort of relationship resolutions do you want to put out into the universe?

The only true control we have in this world is over ourselves and our actions. You can’t change other peoples’ behaviors — only your own. Therefore, any real change starts from within.

Whether you want to develop a healthier work/life balance, start a new exercise regimen, or meet the love of your life next year, you need to start putting in the work today. …

Well, you’ve come to the right place.

First, I would like to say a sincere thank you to all of the health care workers and front line staff for their continued selfless work during the COVID-19 pandemic. We urge you all to please continue to follow all CDC Guidelines to keep everyone safe, especially if you want to date a doctor!

Stay home except for necessary outings.

When you have to go out, practice social distancing.

Wear a mask when you interact with anyone outside of your household.

Wash your hands often.

Avoid touching your face.

Do not gather in large groups. …

The first thing you need to do in order to begin incorporating social media giveaways into your marketing strategy is to audit your company’s existing social presence.

Facebook

Instagram

Twitter

LinkedIn

Snapchat

YouTube

TikTok

It doesn’t always make sense for a company to be on each and every platform that exists. Do a quick assessment of all existing accounts to decide if they are relevant to your business. Make sure there aren’t duplicate profiles. Next, decide if you want to create pages on any sites you’re not currently on.

Once you have decided which social media pages your business is going to focus on, review the content posted to each, including any profile photos, About descriptions, etc. …

One can be standing in an arena full of people and still feel completely alone. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive. On the other hand, you’re capable of feeling fulfilled even when you’re all by yourself.

Today, I want to focus on providing strategies that will help you achieve the latter.

According to Psychology Today, long-term feelings of loneliness can have the same physical impact on the body as smoking or obesity. Extended social isolation can even lead to PTSD, anxiety, and addiction.

Everyone Feels Lonely Sometimes

As we move through the Holiday Season, I want you to be mindful of your emotional state. Studies show people are more likely to suffer from depression during this time of year. And recently single people are particularly vulnerable to feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. …

Are you familiar with the Five Love Languages?

Today, we’re going to take a look at all Five Love Languages in the time of COVID, and how to express each of them in a safe and healthy way.

Gary Chapman developed the theory over 25 years ago. The Five Love Languages states that everyone has a preference on how they like to give and receive love.

The Five Love Languages are: Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service2, Quality Time, and Physical Touch.

Throughout 2020, we have had to adapt and learn new ways to exist in a world where our interactions with other people are more limited and restricted than any other period in modern history. …

1. It’s Not a Date

I often hesitate to even use the word date for a first meeting between matches. Meeting is really the better word. Date has a romantic connotation, and while matchmaking is obviously a service for people seeking romance, it would be unrealistic to expect every single first date to end in a love connection. …

Hey guys, Em here.

I just wanted to drop in and tell a quick story that just happened, like literally minutes ago.

As you know, there are protests all around the world happening in the largest Civil Rights Movement in history: BLACK LIVES MATTER. It is also Pride Month, where we honor and celebrate the LBTGQIAPK+ Community.

In celebration of both of those things, I posted the photo below of my Goodest Boy, Opie Winston, to the Facebook group: Golden Retriever Club (also “The Goldens”), with the following caption.

This is Opie. Opie celebrates the #BlackLivesMatter Movement and #PrideMonth. …

I have been sharing my fuckboy adventures on my Instagram page, @DatingTrAPPs, for several months. Prior to that, I would share them on my personal page, but they became so frequent that I made the decision to develop a dedicated space to share screenshots of my experience on dating apps.

Things were going fine for awhile, until last week when Instagram deactivated my page. I have sent dozens of emails and DMs to Instagram with no response, so I’m back on Medium to air my grievances.

I can’t know for sure what led them to censor me, as I woke up Monday morning unable to log in with no notice or explanation, but I suspect I pissed some people off, particularly in Northwest Arkansas, where I do most of my swiping. …
